Emmanuel Church

At the top of the main community area we have Emmanuel Church. You will often find the church mentioned in the Events pages as its hall is well used by the community. However it exists firstly as a church.

Informal, welcoming, family-friendly, a church for all ages - these are some of the phrases which we hope describe us. We meet in the heart of our community, to worship God, and to hear from Him. We try to make Jesus the centre of all that we do, and to encourage each other in that.

We certainly don't have all the answers, but enjoy searching the questions together.

The church building was built in 1972 when the housing estate in Southill was built and part of the St Ann’s congregation set it up.

The team vicar for Emmanuel and St Mary's Churches is Revd Pip Salmon

Southill School

Those of you with primary aged children will know of the many things that go on at Southill School. We will be supporting the public events on the events page but if you want to keep in touch with all the other things about the school you can visit their web site on

Southill Community Centre

There is a new and vibrant notice board outside the community hall letting residents know what is happening on a regular basis. This website will help to publicise these and the calendar of regular events can be found in the EVENTS page.  We also hope to  bring everyone's attention to one off events that go on in the centre. It is managed by a small group of residents and is selfsupporting as it receives no funding from outside on a regular basis, although it does apply for grants occasionally for capital improvements.
